Cyan Hires CFO

March 05, 2013 |
PETALUMA, Calif. -- Cyan today announced that it has expanded its executive team with the addition of industry veteran Mike Zellner as vice president and chief financial officer. Zellner will oversee all aspects of finance and administration, including information technology. Zellner joins Cyan from PMC-Sierra where, for the past six years, he served as chief financial officer.

Cyan chairman and CEO Mark Floyd commented that, "Mike makes a terrific addition to an already strong team. His experience with large global suppliers of both software and hardware solutions will be extremely helpful as we expand internationally and grow the increasingly important software aspects of our business."

Zellner, who is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, added, "I look forward to joining Cyan and helping to continue the success the company has already enjoyed. I'm particularly intrigued by the software aspects of Cyan's solution. With software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization both gaining traction, it is clear that carriers are demanding exactly the types of solutions Cyan already offers."
