PARIS -- OE Solutions and AimValley announce successful multi-vendor interworking tests of their Smart SFP products at the European Advanced Network Test Center's (EANTC) 2014 Multi-Vendor Interoperability Test in Berlin. At the MPLS SDN World Congress, V6 World Congress, NFV & SDN Summit 2014 in Paris the products are showcased.

“This year we successfully demonstrated a complete Service Activation Test solution embedded in our Service OAM Smart SFP. We also tested our new products, the TWAMP Smart SFP and the Chronos Smart SFP TS. The EANTC multi-vendor interoperability testing provides our customers with additional confidence that our Smart SFPs can be deployed in any network,” said Jan Venema, CTO AimValley. Details on the test scenarios can be found in the EANTC white paper that is available via http://www.eantc.de/showcases/mpls_ewc_2014

Smart SFP is a family of intelligent transceivers with integrated system functions, jointly developed by OE Solutions and AimValley. The product family currently consists of:

  • Service OAM Smart SFP, the world’s first and smallest OAM capable NID in an MSA compliant SFP form factor.

    • TSoP Smart SFP, the enabler for smooth service migration from TDM SONET/SDH to packet networks.

    • TWAMP Smart SFP, the new member for two way delay and loss measurement in IP networks.

    • Chronos Smart SFP Transparent SyncE, an electrical GigE variant supporting frequency and phase synchronization over copper GigE connections, ideally suited for the demanding synchronization requirements in packet based networks.
