Axell acquired by Cobham for £85M

CHESHAM, U.K. -- Axell Wireless (“Axell”), the worldwide provider of distributed antenna systems (DAS) and wireless coverage solutions, today announced that it has been acquired by Cobham plc (“Cobham”) for up to £85m. Cobham offers an innovative range of technologies and services to solve challenging problems across the commercial, defence and security markets, from deep space to the depths of the ocean. Cobham’s technological expertise includes leading positions in land, mobile and airborne antenna systems, mast systems, audio and radio management systems and radar and satellite communications. Cobham employs 10,000 people across five continents, has annual revenues of circa £1.8bn, with a heritage going back almost 80 years.
