4:40 PM -- Today on Contentinople:

  • At ad:tech in New York, CNN president Jonathan Klein calls the network's use of user-generated content responsible for CNN's success with a younger audience, saying it gives CNN "a bureau that is about 300 million strong in the United States and 6 billion strong around the world."

  • Also at ad:tech, Robin Steinberg, MediaVest USA senior vice president and director of print investment and activations, said most print magazines are not taking full advantage of the Web. “It’s not the right content. The editing is done like a magazine," she said.

And in today's News Bits, NBCU digital chief George Kliavkoff announces plans to leave the company.
