CHICAGO -- ActiveVideo Networks, creators of CloudTV, the cloud-based app platform, will demonstrate how HTML5 applications can be delivered to any digital set-top box or video streaming decoder at The Cable Show this week.
At its exhibit (Suite ES-8) during the June 14-16 show, ActiveVideo will show how the ability of CloudTV to bring HTML5 apps to the television significantly expands content opportunities for multichannel video service providers and creates new markets for Web developers.
“The role of HTML5 in enabling many of the most compelling user experiences delivered by Google Chrome and Apple Safari browsers and its growing use for multimedia and graphical content have rapidly increased the importance of HTML5 authoring tools for the development community,” said John Callahan, CTO of ActiveVideo Networks. “Ultimately, our goal is to make it easy for content developers and network operators to overcome set-top box constraints and quickly reach mass audiences with cutting edge user experiences via the CloudTV platform.”
