Cablevision Extends Triple-Play Package Discounts

Pleased with the success of its Optimum Triple Play package, Cablevision Systems has started offering monthly discounts of up to $25 to customers who upgrade to full voice, video and data bundles. Under the new "Optimum Rewards" program, digital video subscribers who add Optimum Online and Optimum Voice services will receive $25 credits on their bills. Customers who already subscribe to digital cable and high-speed data will get $20 credits if they take Optimum Voice. As a result, existing Cablevision customers will end up paying no more than new Optimum Triple Play subscribers if they take all three cable services. The popular Optimum Triple play package bundles Cablevision's standard digital video, high-speed data and VoIP products for $29.95 apiece, or a total of slightly less than $90 before taxes each month, for the first year of service. The MSO has been enjoying a surge of signups for all three products since launching Optimum Triple Play last June.
