Tracking the Top Cable Trends

What's cooking in cable these days? A lot!

But to boil it down a bit, I got together recently with Daniel Allen, Light Reading's head of video, at the historic Union Station building in downtown Denver, to dig into some of the key trends and hot topics spanning the industry these days, including next-gen video, how MSOs can continue to gain and maintain high-margin broadband subscribers, cable's budding wireless and mobile strategies and operators' pursuit of other types of growth-driving lines of business.

We also got together in part to help our new readers closely following the OTT video sector get a better fix on how the cable industry is competing with (and, in some cases, embracing) the likes of Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Sling TV, et al.
