ANDOVER, Mass. -- Casa Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CASA), a leading provider of converged broadband infrastructure technology solutions for mobile, cable, fixed and fixed networks, today announced that it has appointed Michael T. Hayashi, former EVP of Architecture, Development and Engineering at Time Warner Cable, to its board of directors.

Mr. Hayashi is one of the cable industry’s pioneers, having led innovations for digital television, VoD, HD and Managed IP video. In 2001, Mr. Hayashi was honored with the Vanguard Award for Science & Technology. Mr. Hayashi spent 23 years as an executive at Time Warner Cable, where he most recently served as EVP of Architecture, Development and Engineering. Mr. Hayashi serves on the board of directors of Espial Group, Inc. and Petrichor Technologies, and previously served on the board of directors of Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. and BroadLogic Network Technologies, Inc. Mr. Hayashi also previously served as the Chairman of Open Cable Certification at Cablelabs.

Mr. Hayashi received a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and an MBA from The Ohio State University.
