BISMARCK, N.D. -- Skitter TV, an Atlanta, Ga. based leading provider of converged media services over broadband and IP networks, announced today that Dakota Carrier Network (DCN) of North Dakota has selected Skitter TV's advanced digital video services platform to deliver next generation TV services to customers across North Dakota. DCN, a statewide fiber network serving multiple broadband service providers, will make the Skitter TV platform available to their service provider members, enabling the delivery of a converged mix of television programming to their North Dakota end customers.

Formed in 1996, DCN member companies currently serve over 164,000 customers across 244 communities with a diverse mix of broadband, video and telecom services. With Skitter TV, DCN members will gain access to a compelling array of television programming including national and local channels in packages that will offer customers greater selection at significantly lower costs and the convenience of viewing on a Roku streaming device or similar receiver.

Skitter TV's platform allows for the integration of local broadcast channels with a growing number of cable programming channels delivered to the devices that customers now demand, offering a legitimate alternative to today's high cost cable TV offers. With Skitter TV, video service providers can actively address "cord-cutting" and "cord-shaving" trends, where consumers are looking for ways to reduce their monthly expense for television service, but still want access to news and entertainment.
