DENVER, Colo. -- Proxilliant Systems Corp., which offers solutions essential to broadband service expansion and profitability of cable networks, will preview its Cable Access Management System at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2006.

Proxilliant’s Cable Access Management System (CAMS) is an integrated hardware and software solution for proactive, Cable-based advanced service management. It provides comprehensive information about cable-based network and service performance and prepares the network for such advanced services as VoIP, while slashing field and network troubleshooting time and cost. CAMS features intelligence deployed deep into the access network that works in concert with sophisticated software in the regional head-end or central data center. Proxilliant’s CAMS solution consists of two core product components: the CAMS Service Health Manager and the CAMS Intelligent Access Controller.

“Proactive service management is the only solution for the reliable and profitable delivery of advanced two-way services such as VoIP,”said Sonia Khademi, CEO of Proxilliant Systems. “Ingress and distortions result in permanent packet loss and service dropouts, which are potentially fatal problems for such real-time services as VoIP. They also seriously limit the cable operator’s ability to cost-effectively scale capacity as demand grows. With Proxilliant’s solution, the operator’s view extends well beyond the node level, with a direct line of sight into clusters of typically 30 homes. Cable operators can now for the first time instantly detect and easily locate any noise problem, obtain a continuous, comprehensive view of their network’s health, all while advancing toward a carrier-class level of network performance.”
