LRTV FAQ

2:00 PM -- You've been asking questions about LRTV, which is coming to (and covering) Supercomm 2005 (see Light Reading Launches LRTV). We appreciate your many emails and find the rampant misspellings somewhat endearing. So, as a public service, here are a few answers to some frequently asked LRTV questions:

What is LRTV's relationship to Supercomm?
Light Reading TV (LRTV), Light Reading’s new broadband video channel, has been chosen as the official broadband video content provider for this year’s Supercomm event. Our broadcast team will be providing intensive television coverage of the entire event.

LRTV will feature interviews of Supercomm speakers and newsmakers, and it will highlight exhibitor announcements and other show-related developments. We'll be taping all throughout Supercomm at Light Reading's studio, Booth #20054, including a special daily news roundup at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7 and Wednesday, June 8.

What does LRTV coverage cost my company?
LRTV’s Supercomm coverage is an editorial service -– there’s no charge to your company, but you do have to act now. So, if you have a big announcement coming out at Supercomm or you want to get your company’s top executives featured in LRTV's Supercomm coverage, please contact yours truly TODAY by calling (817) 731-9228 or send an email to [email protected].

What if we don't have a huge announcement planned for Supercomm?
Hire a PR firm and they will convince you otherwise.

Will anyone see LRTV?
You'd better believe it. LRTV will be available via:

  • Plasma screens and monitor feeds on the show floor showing LRTV programming throughout the event;

  • A streaming video feed of LRTV news on the home page of the Light Reading Website, where upwards of 400,000 unique monthly visitors can view it; and

  • Syndication to national and international television broadcasters.

I'll have syndication info in a later post. Keep the questions coming. Meanwhile, check out the LRTV content that's available right now (see Why the Future Is Now for Triple Play, Carrier Ethernet Services: Five Key Drivers, and Full Transcript of LRTV’s Interview With Carl Russo, CEO, Calix ).
