FiOS Fans Unite!

2:35 PM -- Lock up yer daughters! Here comes FiOS!

A FiOS watcher in Arlington, Mass.'s Morningside neighborhood sent us these photos to show that Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) will likely be turning on FiOS services there very soon to compete with RCN and Comcast.





Verizon is currently offering triple-play services in the area, but it's using DirecTV to carry the video part of the bundle. RCN Corp. and Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK), however, have "one wire" triple-play services and are relatively reasonable, from what we hear.

Our FiOS watcher writes that the pics confirm "Verizon’s claim that since they had more aerial cable, they could roll out FTTH faster than SBC…"
