Casa Systems selected by Guangzhou Digital Media Group for large-scale CCAP deployment

ANDOVER, Mass. -- Casa Systems, a worldwide leader in next- generation cable edge technology, announced today that it has won a sizeable order for its Integrated CCAP solution, with one of China's largest cable network operators, Guangzhou Digital Media Group (Guangzhou). With Casa’s CCAP platform, Guangzhou will be able to offer highly scalable broadband services such as IPTV, MPEG video and interactive gaming, as well as traditional broadband access and VoIP services.

Guangzhou is China's sixth largest city with an estimated population of 12.7 million people, representing two million subscribers, including 165,000 broadband subscribers and 170,000 IPTV subscribers. Guangzhou has previously selected Casa’s C10G platform to expand its broadband communications services.
