RAMAT GAN, Israel -- BroadLight Inc., today announced a new technology breakthrough which provides a series of unique digital Fiber Optic Burst transceivers for single fiber Point-to-Multi-Point applications such as PON, Ethernet PON and GigE. BBTTM is a series of Bi-directional Optical Burst Transceivers supporting bit rates from 155Mbps up to 1.25Gbps Upstream and from 155Mbps up to 1.25 Gbps Downstream, in one integrated module. The BBTTM optical series modules are integrated optical circuits based on revolutionary Integrated Composed Material (ICM) consisting of active optical functionality as well as an analog front-end. The BBTTM will allow businesses to pay less for wider bandwidth and receive a greater performance.

Applications are intended for Point-to-Multi-Point such as BroadLight's xPON(TM) technology, APON and EPON applications, FTTB (fiber-to-the-business) applications, FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) applications, WDM implementation and any other Point-to-Multi-Point applications as well as for extending and complementing existing MSPP platforms of Sonet\SDH, xDSL and GigE.

The BBT TM series is a group of 8 types of transceivers providing WDM Bi-directional 1300/1550nm, CDR, APC, ATC, Preamp, Limteramp and Flexible data rates up to 1.25 Gbps in one small compact module. BroadLight Inc. will be exhibiting at the Optical Fiber Communications Conference (OFC) from March 19-22. You may visit the company booth (#4440) to learn more about this distinctive technology.
