In case you need a reminder that there are tons of successful, admirable women in the next-gen comms industry, look no further than the finalist list for our annual Women in Comms Leading Lights award.

For the second year in a row, we asked those in the industry to tell us who inspires them, who is making a difference for other women and who is leading the way on important technology advancements that will define the future of communications.

Like last year, we were not disappointed! We received a number of great entries and had a tough time narrowing down our finalist lists. But, we did what we had to do and are happy to share our list of ten women who are paving the way in both a technological and sociological sense.

These WiC awards are part of the broader Leading Lights Awards program. Find out which companies were shortlisted in the other 23 categories by reading Leading Lights 2017: The Finalists.

The winners for all of these categories and the new Hall of Fame inductees will be announced at the Leading Lights awards dinner on Monday, May 15, at Brazos Hall in Austin, Texas, following Women in Comms' one-day conference and preceding the Big Communications Event.

Be sure to book your seat or table at the Leading Lights gala before space fills up. All the details and contacts you need can be found right here.

Click on the link below to see our ten worthy women to watch in 2017, and check back in the coming weeks for posts expanding on why they made they cut.

Most Inspiring Woman in Comms

Hedy Lamarr Award for Female Tech Pioneer of the Year
A special award that seeks to recognize a woman in the next-gen comms industry for her remarkable influence and technological contributions to the sector in the past year.

[Ed. Note: We unfortunately did not have enough entries in the Female-Led Startup to Watch category to pick finalists. We know you are out there though, so be sure to "get in it to win it" and receive the recognition you deserve next year!]
