Broadcom Beefs Up Set-Top Security

LAS VEGAS -- Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ: BRCM), a global innovation leader in semiconductor solutions for wired and wireless communications, today announced it is first to enable Cryptography Research (CRI) differential power analysis (DPA) countermeasures across its line of set-top box (STB) platforms. By licensing CRI technology, Broadcom is deploying advanced security measures to enable broadcasters to securely expand services and premium content delivery methods for multi-screen and Internet-based TV experiences.
