9:35 AM -- This "live" feed from The Onion on the introduction of a homeland terrorism preparedness bill is offered in tribute to those mysterious press releases that enter my inbox from time to time announcing deployments with "major" undisclosed operators, in undisclosed regions of the world, involving an unannounced number of broadband subscribers who are paying an undisclosed amount per month to obtain a new service that will offer a set of "game-changing features" that will be disclosed at a later date.

Those details are usually topped off with the value of the deal, which can't be disclosed, but runs in the "multimillion-dollar" range.
