This project forms part of Tunisie Telecom’s strategic plans to evolve its voice and data networks into a single IP infrastructure in order to provide customers with high quality voice calls, faster Internet access, and new services

VDSL2 is a key component of Alcatel-Lucent’s portfolio as it repositions as a specialist vendor of IP Networking and Ultra-Broadband Access technologies as part of The Shift Plan.

Nizar Bouguila, Chief Technology Officer of Tunisie Telecom said: “We were looking for a comprehensive technology solution that would allow us to reinforce our position as the leader in providing high-speed, high-quality voice and broadband services in Tunisia. The trial in late 2012 demonstrated to us Alcatel-Lucent had the technology and expertise to achieve our immediate goals and support our longer-term plans in the most timely and cost efficient way.”
