Security is a big concern for mobile banking features. Any bank with an app will have it encrypted, but I think concerns here will make many consumers hesitant to adopt it.
As to Gabe's point about losing your phone and having important info stolen, new phones coming out - like the Moto Droid Bionic - will be better prepared to handle it. They'll have remote wipe and online-driven controls over a smart phone in the event it's lost or stolen.
