Most of the criticism I've seen around google's laptop is along the lines of, "It doesn't match the way I use my computer." (It's useless without a wireless connection, for instance.)

But of course, that's not the point.  Google's people kind of built this for themselves -- and they have continual strong wifi coverage up there in Mountain View.  My house, not so much: No wifi, and cell signals are unreliable (yes, even Verizon).

Still, I think the security aspects are ideal for enterprise use. (Ironically, I think Google first envisioned this thing for personal use, not enterprise).  It's kind of an extension of that open cubicle concept, where people aren't assigned cubicles and sit wherever they want.

So, if I ran a company, I'd want everybody using computers like this. I'm still torn on whether i'd be happy to use one myself, though.
