With so many parties complaining about a spectrum shortage, I expect we'll see a lot more Wi-Fi offload moving forward.
The cable companies have an edge in that they have a history of collaborating with one another & as a result were able to pull together a sizeable footprint.
But this seems like an opportunity for any company with metro fiber. A bit like the backhaul opportunity.
I've been thinking how this shows the importance of unlicensed spectrum. Anybody can deploy Wi-Fi.
