Telenor Bills for Google Apps

March 21, 2013 |
FORNEBU, Norway -- Google and Telenor Norway cooperate to make it easier for mobile users to find relevant apps in Google Play. For the first time in Norway, customers are now able to pay for Google Play apps through their mobile phone subscriptions.

Google Play offers more than 700,000 apps and games, and the number of apps is increasing day by day. Telenor makes it easier for customers to download, and to pay for their chosen apps using their mobile phone.

"Google and Telenor make it possible for AndroidTM users to easily and safely pay for apps and content trough the mobile subscription bill. In addition, we make it easier for our customers to find services such as Telenor Faktura (the mobile phone bill), Mine Kontakter (my contacts) and Dekningsappen (app for coverage), as well as exciting apps worth discovering. These apps are found under the Telenor logo in Google Play, said Stein-Erik Vellan, leader of the Mobile Division at Telenor Norway.

The launch is a result of cooperation between Telenor Digital Services and Telenor Norway.

"We are constantly looking for new services to create increased value for our customers. The cooperation with Google is one example of this," said Rolv-Erik Spilling, head of Telenor Digital Services.
