Performance Technologies introduces full-sized, AdvancedMC single board computer featuring Intel Core 2 Duo processor

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Performance Technologies (NASDAQ: PTIX), a leading developer of communication platforms and systems, today announced the availability of its newest member of AdvancedMC® (Advanced Mezzanine Card or AMC) single board computers, the AMC122. This full-sized AMC module features an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.16 GHz processor and is designed for MicroTCA™ and AdvancedTCA® applications.

The AMC122 adds another high-end offering to the company’s wide line of processor AMCs. "Emerging design applications in telecommunications, aerospace and defense, enterprise, and industrial settings are pushing the envelope on compute requirements," said Performance Technologies Senior Product Manager Tony Romero. "Our AMC122, when combined with our award-winning MicroTCA platform, the MTC5070, and Carrier Grade Linux® OS, NexusWare®, offer a ready-to-use, very high performance and cost-effective solution for next generation MicroTCA-based applications, such as communication servers, security, and data acquisition and processing applications."
