PLANO, Texas -- Interphase Corporation (NASDAQ: INPH), a leading international supplier of next-generation networking technologies, today announced a comprehensive portfolio of AdvancedTCA and AdvancedMC products. The product line covers a broad spectrum of functions, including multiple types of I/O, packet processing, security encryption and carrier blade building blocks, executing on the company’s strategy to provide its customers with a broad range of product solutions that smooth the migration from existing TDM infrastructure to packet-based networks. The Interphase AdvancedTCA and AdvancedMC portfolio serves a wide range of applications, enhancing next generation network elements.

Building on the company’s expertise of providing best of breed I/O offerings, the Interphase AdvancedTCA and AdvancedMC portfolio includes a 10 Gigabit Ethernet carrier card, network interface cards, communication processors, network processors and security processors.

Interphase Corporation (NASDAQ: INPH), a leading international supplier of next-generation networking technologies, today announced the availability of the iSPAN 3639 AdvancedMC T1/E1/J1 Communications Controller. The new AdvancedMC adapter, which offers four or eight T1/E1 ports with Gigabit Ethernet and PCI-Express connectivity to the AdvancedMC connector, is an ideal solution for AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA media and signaling applications such as serving GPRS support nodes (SGSN), home subscriber servers (HSS), media gateways, home location registers (HLR), SMS servers, MMS servers, mobile switching center servers, and IP-private branch exchanges (IP-PBX).

Designed for use in AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA platforms, the Interphase 3639 product features four or eight individually software selectable T1/E1/J1 ports available on either the front or rear, a powerful on-board Freescale MPC8560 PowerQUICC III 800MHz processor, and on-board support for multiple network protocols and protocol interworking. The iSPAN 3639 also supports AMC.1 connectivity for PCI Express and AMC.2 connectivity for Gigabit Ethernet, with future support for on-board I-TDM encapsulation to interwork TDM and IP protocols. The iSPAN 3639 is offered with a robust iWARE software development suite spanning multiple protocols and operating systems, along with configuration and diagnostic tools. The iWARE software development suite is also pre-integrated and tested with multiple 3rd party higher layer protocol offerings, including the industry-leading Trillium protocol stacks from Continuous Computing.
