Arris Centralizes Ad Insertion

January 23, 2013 |
SUWANEE, Ga. -- ARRIS Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARRS) today introduced new CORTEX clustering software technology, available now, to be used with the ARRIS ConvergeMedia™ solution, utilizing the XMS Flex Distribution Platforms with Streaming Media Engine (SME) 5.3.1 and Ad Control Manager (ACM) 3.0 software releases. CORTEX gives operators the ability to consolidate their ad insertion infrastructure into centralized, resilient systems where the delivery infrastructure is both reliable and expandable. The technology will help cable operators cost-effectively grow capacity for HD expansions, improve operational efficiency, and preserve high run rates.

The new clustering software has been designed specifically to meet the needs of ARRIS customers. ARRIS has over 15 years of advertising experience and its advertising management solutions have captured over 60% of the North American market. The company has helped operators transition their businesses from analog to digital ad insertion and expand their digital services to support both SD and HD ad insertion.
