Anania Returns

9:15 AM -- Georgio Anania is back.

After a hiatus, presumably spent enjoying the Italian countryside, Anania is back in the optical components world with a board seat at Cube Optics AG .

The news came out last week. Forgive us for missing it, but Cube is another of those companies we didn't realize still existed.

For those of you still saying, "Who?" Anania is the former Bookham Inc. (Nasdaq: BKHM; London: BHM) CEO who stepped down early this year and also left the company's board. (See Bookham Ousts CEO Anania.)

For Anania's take on Bookham's struggles, you can read this interview from April -- where he does say he might be "joining some company boards."
