Alcatel-Lucent Wins Managed Services Deal

BARCELONA, Spain -- Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) and Telenor India today announced that Alcatel-Lucent will provide managed and transformation services to Telewings Communications Private Limited, a fully owned Telenor Group company.

The agreement will cover the three ‘circles’ of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, covering a population of more than 257 million people in three of the fastest-growing provinces for Telewings for new subscribers.

"Telenor Group appreciates this partnership done with Alcatel-Lucent in India. This establishes a platform for further innovative operating models in India and for taking those learnings and practices in other markets across the Group," said Hilde Tonne, EVP Group Industrials Development Telenor Group.
