CEO Verwaayen to Step Down at Alcatel-Lucent
Alcatel-Lucent's board voted Wednesday to accept Verwaayen's decision to step down as CEO, French paper Le Monde reported late Wednesday night, Paris time. (Here's an English rendition, published by Reuters.)
He may hand over to his successor at the vendor's annual shareholders' meeting on May 7.
Verwaayen became CEO of AlcaLu on Sept. 15, 2008.
