Agawi Pitches Cloud Gaming Service

March 20, 2013 |
MENLO PARK, Calif. -- Today leading cloud gaming company Agawi is unveiling a new product, code named VG36, specifically designed to enable cable and telecommunications companies to easily tap into video games as a source of entertainment content on a large scale. VG36 offers both out-of-the-box system scalability and a large content library.

Agawi‘s upcoming VG36 leverages the breakthrough scalability and performance of NVIDIA GRID appliances along with Marvell Android and Google TV technologies. VG36 will be based on the Agawi’s recently announced True Cloud architecture, which aims to unify all the fragmented components of the cloud gaming ecosystem, creating a “plug and play” solution that allows cable and telecom operators to increase monthly revenue per user by offering millions of gamers a portfolio of social, mid-core and core games.

By simply plugging in Agawi’s GRID-powered system, these companies can easily add cloud gaming to their offering, giving their customers access to a huge library of games, including social and blockbuster gaming titles. With this flexible new cost-effective option, cable and telecom providers can support more users by simply adding more plug-and-play servers, while continuously decreasing costs.
