Matthew Murphy to be vice president of engineering

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Adept Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTK), a leading manufacturer of flexible automation for the telecommunications, fiber optic and semiconductor industries, today announced the appointment of Matthew Murphy to vice president of engineering. Murphy will assume responsibility for engineering and development activities for Adept's robot and controls product lines. He will report to Brian Carlisle, chairman and chief executive officer for Adept Technology and will operate from Adept's corporate office in San Jose, California.
