Acision Adds Execs
READING, U.K. -- Acision, a global leader in mobile messaging, today announced two new appointments to its executive leadership team. Jim Saunders has joined Acision as its new Executive Vice President, Engineering, while Matt Cockett has taken on the position of Executive Vice President, Enterprise Services.
These appointments are part of Acision’s internal game-changer programme, and come off the back of its recently announced new Chief Executive, Adolfo Hernandez.
Prior to Acision, Jim Saunders held the role Global Head of Capital Market Product Development at Misys, responsible for 600+ employees across the globe and leading the development of their four flagship products. He moved into this role from Thomson Reuters RISK business, when it merged with Misys in 2012. Before that, Jim held product development and senior management positions at Cartesis, America Online and Netscape Communications.
Before his appointment to Acision, Matt held the role of Group Commercial Director at Mobile Interactive Group (MIG), a Sunday Times Tech Track 100 company, where he led the rapid growth of the company. He also spearheaded MIG’s drive into mobile operators and brands including EE, Vodafone, Skype, EA Games, New Look and Barclaycard. Matt was instrumental in the sale of MIG to Velti PLC at the end of 2011 and successfully launched MIG’s mobile web business, which now forms a core part of Velti’s technology portfolio.
